To get admission optional (Common Entrance Test) CET for Std XI will be conducted in all the schools and colleges affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. It will be conducted two week after SSC results are declared.
SSC results are expected to be declared by July 15 , So CET will be conducted in the last week of July or first week of August, said a government resolution (GR) issued on Thursday.
The decision on CET was taken after the State Board decided to cancel the SSC examination for the academic year 2020-21.
The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based single question paper exam will be of two hours.
The total number of questions will be 100 with 25 marks each dedicated to English, Mathematics, Science &Â Social Studies based on state board syllabus.
Since CET is optional after result of SSC . The State Board/Examination Council will not charge extra fees to Maharashtra Board students but the students from other boards have to pay examination fees for CET.
Students who appeared for CET will get priority in FYJC admission process according to their merits.
After their admission entry will be given to the students who have not opted for CET on their X merit.
All the students of Maharashtra Board SSC is being promoted to STD XI on basis of 50:50 ratio of their IX and X scores.
